This homemade banana bread is soft, moist, and full of rich banana flavor. A cozy baked treat that’s easy to prepare and perfect for breakfast, dessert, or an afternoon snack.
Ingredients

3 ripe bananas, mashed

½ cup sugar

⅓ cup vegetable oil (or melted coconut oil)

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

½ cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.

Stir in sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.

In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

Gradually fold dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined.

Gently stir in walnuts or chocolate chips if using.

Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for the sweetest flavor.
Store banana bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze slices for longer storage.
