Description
A rich, buttery, and creamy garlic shrimp dish made with juicy shrimp and a silky Parmesan cream sauce. Perfect for weeknights ready in just 20 minutes and great over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.

- 1 lb (450g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: pinch of chili flakes for heat
Instructions
- Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper (and chili flakes if using).
- Return shrimp to the pan and let simmer for 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot
Notes
- You can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
- Frozen shrimp works too just make sure to thaw and pat dry first.
- For a keto version, serve over steamed broccoli or cauliflower rice.
